Project Brief
Migrate the existing VB 6 Index files that track documentation, matters and Company incorporation details to a format that is more suitable for use within the organisations new Vista desktop/network environment.
Solution Implemented
A custom, .Net desktop application was developed using the latest Infragistics tools and controls to provide the client with an easy to use and intuitive interface. Extra functionality was added to allow subsets of the data to search and filtered as required or exported to Microsoft Excel at the touch of a button.
Conversion routines were written to migrate the data from the old VB 6 flat files to a SQL Server, to ensure no data loss.
