Retail Solutions with Microsoft Retail Management System (RMS)
We have the experience of providing retailers both in the Isle of Man and UK in a variety of different market sectors
with Microsoft's Retail Management System (RMS) - a flexible and feature rich solution
which is completely scalable. We also are able to offer a full customisation and
integration services for RMS to enable you to integrate directly with your backend
systems.
What is RMS
RMS is a powerful retail software package that is aimed at small and midsize retailers
who need to upgrade their systems to achieve greater efficiency and productivity.
RMS allows retailers to automate many manual processes and contains features more
commonly associated with the big multiples.
At its simplest level RMS can run on a single PC, with cash draw, bar code reader
etc attached. RMS of course also scales to support multiple lanes / registers within
the same store however add in the Head Quarters module and you a solution than can
scale to 10's or even 100's of stores.
Why Choose RMS
RMS is all about helping you run your retail business more efficiently.
It provides you with a variety of features enabling you to sell, promote, manage
and understand customer marketing tasks, including:
- Point-of-sale operations
- Inventory control and tracking
- Pricing, sales, and promotions
- Customer management and marketing
- Employee management
- Customised reports
- Information security
Point-of-sale operations - RMS is simple and efficient to use allowing
staff to get up to speed within minutes. Stock levels or provide product information
can be checked instantly (can also check stock in other stores if using HQ), and
if authorised to do so can back-order stock and process refunds. A huge variety
of hardware solutions is supported including "back to back screens", post displays
etc
Inventory control and tracking - Effective stock management is a constant challenge
but is crucial to running a successful retail business. RMS recognises this and
provides the tools you need to efficiently manage stock control. The system is capable
of tracking items throughout their journey through your business, from the moment
you order them from the supplier to the moment they’re sold, there is no need for
manual stock counts.
Customer management and marketing - Offer discounts and vouchers or suggest
add-on sales based on previous purchases. Improve customer service, when a customer
purchases an item, the system can flash a note to the cashier to pass on targeted
advice, or perform a visual/ID check for age-restricted goods.
Employee management - Staff can clock in and out using the in-built system.
You can also restrict what different members of staff can do, for example; limit
the ability for staff members to offer discounts or order stock. You can see which
staff members have the highest average transaction figures, and suggest up-sells
and cross-sells at the point of sale.
Customised reports - In the fast moving retail environment it is important
to know which lines are selling best, and equally important, which lines are failing
to sell. RMS helps you make more informed decisions. Generate daily sales reports
and journals; see how particular lines are selling, or how much margin they are
generating and ensure that your best sellers are always in stock with automatic
reorder levels.
Information security - Not only can you restrict how much functionality
each member of staff has, but you can also be confident that your credit/debit card
processing is secure and uses the latest industry security standards.
